Author Topic: A black cat crossed my path this evening  (Read 1680 times)

Went out to check out the field, parked up in the gateway (it's almost a single track road), I was sitting on the back of the car (estate car with rear door up), suddenly a black cat shot out of the field gateway and started to run across the road.

Walking up the road about 30 yards away was a father with his two young daughters, a boy racer tore past them doing 50-60 mph, I thought it was good bye cat. The car braked briefly as it went past me then put his foot down again as he approached the cat. All I could envisage was the cat exploding the young girls screaming and an irate dad at the tosser who had just gone by.

The cat must have dodged the car, it rolled over a couple of times and then carried on it's journey (8? lives left) , the dad was fuming, the young girls relieved (dunno what the cat did!), anyway the guy said , well doing what you do then that must be a lucky sign.

Never seen the guy before, didn't have the detector on show, but he knew that I would be detecting, I was lucky though, hope the cat is fine!
