Is there a copyright on this site

Can anyone say if there is a copyright on any pictures that are posted by members? The reason i ask this is an idea i have had to help with the costs of this site,if members could vote on a coin and artifact picture in the gallery perhaps a calender could be made and then sold on the site.

why not just set up a paypal for donations from those wishing to contribute

I am sure there would be a few like myself willing

It was just a thought so that the members could look back on some of the great finds made through out the year,for want of a better word it could be used as a keepsake it would also allow the partners the chance to buy something different

If we did want to use members' photographs for this kind of project we would ask permission of individual members who have uploaded pictures we need. By uploading pictures to this site members give us permission to display the pictures on the site but members retain the copyright of their pictures in all other respects.

We have considered a DetectingWales.com calendar but production costs would make them too expensive for the idea to work.

We do have some other ideas that might work however.

Thanks for the Paypal suggestion Outlaw. The idea has come up before. I don't think it's necessary at the moment.
