Hi Doc

Found this crudely made lead object on pasture. It is approx 22mm in diameter and is just over 7 mm thick. Not sure if it was used as a spindle whorl or a lead weight.Any idea on its age.Doesnt appear to be decorated like the typical medieval spindle whorls.Any ideas please would be grately appreciated
Thanks in advance

It does  resemble a spindle whorl , though the hole in the middle look rather strange, almost purposely shaped............... Anyone?

It does look like a spindle whorl and is probably the "typical" type, the decorated ones were probably much rarer.
