went back to the same area on the estuary my self and steve hammered ,we  found  a few weeks back, it was covered over again but another area about 40 sq meters had been  uncovered, and found another untiuched area again, i had 31 buttons, 9 coins  1 pin  1 complete buckle, 2 bag seals, 6 musket balls, and all the other stuff in the photo,  had a great few hours detecting, the hammered coin or whats left of it is my first from the estuary, so should be more there, tide was not perfect so plenty more to come, have cleaned some of the coins to help id them, not sure about the george 111 shilling, counter stamp?? any ideas please, also the pin,  micky coin  mick  Grin Grin

Jass as the link above explains around the edge of the coin it read "Birmingham, Redruth and Swansea". In other words they were a local company.
