The spaxton rally was held on this land a couple of years ago, I was on it. not much was found. the hoard that was found was a roman purse hoard with no single roman coins being found. no hammered coins were found either. just being honest guys. good luck though anyway.
cheers, keith.

No , no and no. I have gone through pains to check and double check that this land has not had a rally on it. The rally was held on the farm next door. There has categorically not been a rally held on this farm.

Apparently the Wacky races held a wacky tractor rally on this land its been ploughed to death!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Really guys, I was embarrassed enough after the last rally. There is no way I would hold a rally on a pasture farm that had already had a rally held on it.

Just read this Rob. Don't know why you need to have been embarrassed mate. The comments were about the awareness of landowners as to how much
money can be made for a rally on their land and the way they maybe portray that land to acquire the event.

Its quite simple if it effects people that much dont go to the rallies. You pay your money take your chance. Tafflaff keep it up mate doing excellent job.

Hi all

Thanks for today. I had 2 heart stoppers first one I thought was a Axe head when I first pulled it out the soil. Then second I thought Ohhhh a Purse bar but nope.. Oh well I did manage to find a William coin but I think the cow pats have eaten it away too much  Shocked
I also had a nice Viccy farthing in not bad condition.. Pats missed this one but might have been peed on LOL..  Now my best find of the day came early in the first half hour in the form of a PRATTS fuel cap still with its seal inside...

Cheers

Hi all, enjoyed a nice sunny day in Bridgwater, my finds were few, just a couple of pewter buttons, and two small coins, a real nice setting, and a very friendly farmer, thanks guys for all your hard work.

Spent a lot of time paddling knee-deep in s##t  to get around the farmland- thank goodness Morley was too busy freeing himself to get his camera out!!! Found one battered coin, a 10p piece, a sixth of a buckle and an, as yet unidentified, object along with a couple of medicine tubes. No-one I spoke to seemed to be finding much either so I decided to cut my losses at lunch time and go and play with the resident Collie, Lamb and Hens.
