nice collection there maxine. our local archy is looking into romano brooches as part of his research next year. wants to examine the metal content to identify the location of the material used to make them.

sounds very exciting

Thanks all, Smiley Yes romano-brit  I have a few sites that I find fibulas regularly, the saxon brooch was from a rally, and a few others. One field in particular I have found must be a dozen plus, it has just been ploughed and seeded, will have a day there this week and I will be suprised if I dont get a few more. Grin

Hell Maxine that is a lot of finds for a relatively short time detecting, you must spend a lot of time out there, well done!
What about showing some of your other finds as a group? Would be nice to see  Shocked
Hope you have some luck at the weekend!
