there were 21 buttons but i lost 2, i think the stone is a arrow head(found in top field behind woods) eyes only in the same hole as yet another button.

the half is scottish but i havnt a clue to more details?
the whole is (i think) a henry 2nd type, richard 1st 1189-1199, spinks 1384b
still well chuffed what ever they are as they are my first hammered

I agree, the full coin is Richard I, and I think the class is 4b. I think the reverse reads HENRI ON LVN, ie London mint, moneyer Henri.

And the Scottish cut half is of the first coinage of Alexander III, dated 1250-1280. I can't make out the mint or moneyer of this one.

well  i got the forecast on the full coin a little out its not a slightly earlier coin from 1150's which i thought  on the day ,dam but getting closer , it is similar got the henri bit mixed up see thinking it was a henri 1st stephen type penny . thanks peter your the biz on id ...
glad he found those coins and he deserves them sticking it out right up til the death as they say , dedication surely pays !!!!!!!

think the scotish issues are seperate  my mate bought a book on them , unsure if it was spink.
didn't twig with id that it was short cross.started 1180's .....

Nice find i really like the cut half i think they have more history to them than whole coins they seem to be more personal.
