Hi all out today with sandpiper, we were finding allsorts bullets,coins,lead,and buttons.Then halfway through the day i had a signal
thinking bullets again  Huh .Diggin down and looking in the hole my heart skip a beat,and said yesss gold coins! Grin on looking closer to my supriess they were gold buttons Huh in the same hole why i don't know but a nice find tho maybe next time i'll find my gold Wink

Responsible response: hand it in to the police for disposal, store it outside in a bucket of water until you're ready to do so.
Alternative response: It should by now be either totally inert or totally unstable, your call... Only tamper with it if you know exactly what you are doing. Please, if you are not at all familiar with munitions, leave well alone. It might not be that old, you never know.

Also, please make sure that no little fingers can get anywhere close to it.

Don't want to sound like a scaremonger, but better safe than sorry.

Maybe someone lost their jacket the jacket rotted away all
that was left was the buttons cant think of any other reason for a hoard
of buttons
